Quando oramai cinque anni fa nasceva il progetto DISERTARE! ci siamo fin da subito chiesti quale fosse il significato profondo di questo nome. A chi ce lo chiedeva, rispondevamo che la diserzione è il primo passaggio verso la costruzione di un mondo altro e di una comunità nuova. Sciogliere il nodo con una realtà che non ci appartiene più per iniziare il percorso verso un immaginare diverso, un cammino inedito di incontri con compagne e compagni che aderiscono ai nostri sentimenti di diserzione. Subito disertare per noi si traduceva da agire solitario ad atto collettivo.
La nostra ricerca – che è una ricerca sui media, sugli spazi della percezione – si è concentrata su questo filone, ma adesso è il momento di spostarsi sul passaggio iniziale: sul nodo che si scioglie, sull’abbandono del mondo precedente, su quel che avviene prima che l’immaginazione si riattivi e si strutturi in una nuova articolazione del mondo.
La musica è un dispositivo estetico e artistico capace di praticare questo primo svanimento dei legami. Indossi le cuffie, armonie e incastri melodici fluiscono incessanti tramite le orecchie, vibra il capo con gli occhi e la bocca, il mondo intorno si riconfigura. Sembra di essere al suo interno e al contempo in uno spazio altro. Attraversi una sala da ballo, un capannone mutante di luci e suoni, un parco invaso di impulsi sonici. Il tuo corpo si disassembla, ti senti improvvisamente sola o solo, stai per entrare nel vortice trepidante della danza collettiva, ancora non l’hai compreso, ancora non lo vuoi, di nuovo intuisci che hai sciolto un legame precedente e sei in un limbo di solitudine.
A volte, hai solo la necessità di urlare e dimenarti tenendo tutto il resto lontano. Le casse riducono a frantumaglia il mondo con cui hai sciolto i legami. Tutto dorme e tu soltanto danzi. Hai compiuto la tua diserzione, solo adesso inizierai a immaginare, a far fluire il pensiero.
Questo stiamo cercando, questo è quel che vogliamo raccontare.
L’obiettivo è realizzare la stampa di un libro-zine collettivo, con voci molteplici di autrici e autori che sappiano e vogliano tradurre questa sensazione in una forma visiva statica: per provare a intrecciare musica e opere visive in un mescolarsi dei sensi che possa fermare, come in un’istantanea, e permettere di approfondire questo aspetto del disertare.

When, five years ago, the project DISERTARE! was born, we immediately asked ourselves what the deep meaning of this name could be. To those who asked us, we replied that desertion is the first step toward building another world and a new community. Untying the knot with a reality that no longer belongs to us, in order to begin a path toward a different imagination, an unprecedented journey of encounters with comrades who share our feelings of desertion. From the very beginning, deserting for us shifted from a solitary act to a collective one.
Our research – a research on media and spaces of perception – has focused on this trajectory, but now the time has come to move back to the initial passage: to the knot that loosens, to the abandonment of the previous world, to what happens before imagination reactivates and structures itself into a new articulation of the world.
Music is an aesthetic and artistic device capable of practicing this first fading of bonds. You put on your headphones, harmonies and melodic interlocks flow incessantly through your ears, your head vibrates with eyes and mouth, the world around you reconfigures itself. It feels as if you are inside it and, at the same time, in another space. You move through a dance hall, a warehouse mutating with lights and sounds, a park invaded by sonic impulses. Your body disassembles, you suddenly feel alone, you are about to enter the trembling vortex of collective dance, you do not yet understand it, you do not yet want it, once again you sense that you have loosened a previous bond and now you are in a limbo of solitude.
Sometimes, you only need to scream and thrash, keeping everything else at a distance. The speakers shatter into fragments the world from which you have detached yourself. Everything sleeps and only you dance. You have completed your desertion; only now will you begin to imagine, to let thought flow.
This is what we are looking for, this is what we want to tell.
The goal is to produce a printed collective book-zine, with multiple voices of authors who know and wish to translate this sensation into a static visual form: to attempt to intertwine music and visual works in a mingling of senses that can freeze, like a snapshot, and allow a deeper exploration of this aspect of desertion.

DESERT!
Als vor fünf Jahren das Projekt DISERTARE! entstand, stellten wir uns sofort die Frage nach der tieferen Bedeutung dieses Namens. Jenen, die uns danach fragten, antworteten wir, dass die Desertion der erste Schritt hin zur Konstruktion einer anderen Welt und einer neuen Gemeinschaft ist. Den Knoten mit einer Realität zu lösen, die uns nicht mehr gehört, um einen Weg zu einer anderen Vorstellungskraft zu beginnen, einen neuartigen Pfad von Begegnungen mit Genossinnen und Genossen, die unsere Gefühle der Desertion teilen. Von Anfang an bedeutete Desertion für uns den Übergang von einer einsamen Handlung zu einem kollektiven Akt.
Unsere Forschung – eine Forschung über Medien und Wahrnehmungsräume – hat sich auf diesen Strang konzentriert, doch nun ist es an der Zeit, zum ursprünglichen Übergang zurückzukehren: zum sich lösenden Knoten, zum Verlassen der vorherigen Welt, zu dem, was geschieht, bevor sich die Vorstellungskraft erneut aktiviert und sich zu einer neuen Artikulation der Welt formt.
Musik ist ein ästhetisches und künstlerisches Dispositiv, das dieses erste Verblassen der Bindungen vollziehen kann. Du setzt die Kopfhörer auf, Harmonien und melodische Verflechtungen fließen unaufhörlich durch die Ohren, der Kopf vibriert mit Augen und Mund, die Welt um dich herum konfiguriert sich neu. Es scheint, als wärst du in ihr und zugleich in einem anderen Raum. Du durchquerst einen Tanzsaal, eine Halle im Wandel von Licht und Klang, einen Park, überflutet von akustischen Impulsen. Dein Körper zerlegt sich, du fühlst dich plötzlich allein, du stehst kurz davor, in den bebenden Strudel des kollektiven Tanzes einzutreten, du hast es noch nicht verstanden, du willst es noch nicht, erneut spürst du, dass du eine frühere Bindung gelöst hast und dich nun in einem Limbo der Einsamkeit befindest.
Manchmal verspürst du nur das Bedürfnis zu schreien und dich zu winden, alles andere auf Abstand zu halten. Die Lautsprecher zerschlagen die Welt, von der du dich gelöst hast, in Fragmente. Alles schläft, und nur du tanzt. Du hast deine Desertion vollzogen; erst jetzt wirst du beginnen zu imaginieren, das Denken fließen zu lassen.
Das ist es, wonach wir suchen, das ist es, was wir erzählen wollen.
Ziel ist es, einen kollektiven Buch-Zine zu drucken, mit vielfältigen Stimmen von Autorinnen und Autoren, die diese Empfindung in eine statische visuelle Form zu übersetzen wissen und wollen: um Musik und visuelle Werke in einer Vermischung der Sinne miteinander zu verweben, die – wie eine Momentaufnahme – festhalten und eine vertiefte Auseinandersetzung mit diesem Aspekt der Desertion ermöglichen kann.

Dies kann eine kurze Comicgeschichte oder ein Konzertflyer sein, eine geometrische Komposition oder ein verzweifelter Fluss.
